Halles de Lyon - Paul Bocuse (indoor market hall)

The ultimate temple of French gastronomy, the Kingdom of the finest regional produce and a few restaurants and oyster farmers. The Halles de Lyon - Paul Bocuse, named as such after the talented chef who has made this place famous worldwide, Paul Bocuse.

opening dateEvery day throughout the year between 7 am and 10.30 pm. Closed on Monday. Closed exceptionally on January 1st, Easter Monday, Feast of the Ascension, Whit Monday, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th.

The Halles (indoor market hall) was opened in February 1971 by Louis Pradel, and then renovated in 2006. The roof is covered in grass and greenery. From March 1859 to January 1971, this market hall was located at Place des Cordeliers, in the 2nd 'arrondissement' of Lyon.
The roof will soon be transformed into a huge public garden, and will be open to visitors.
