Château du Moulin-à-Vent

Château du Moulin-à-Vent, a benchmark since 1732, stands at the heart of the appellation of the same name. The Gamay grape, grown on old vines planted on wind-beaten granite soils, is king here: it produces little but great wine. Working the soil, organic treatments, massal selection, manual harvesting: the practices in the vineyard and cellar are organic. The family estate's aim is to reveal the diversity and grandeur of Moulin-à-Vent's most noble terroirs. Nestling among the vines, the estate has a chapel at its heart. A former crossroads in the hamlet of Thorins, a place of exchange and faith, this chapel was incorporated into the estate at the end of the 19th century. Located on the emblematic terroir of the appellation from which it inherits its name, Today, it is a central place for welcoming visitors to the estate.
