Saint-RemèzeValérie & Cyrille tell you all about the life of their snails from birth to adulthood. During your visit, you'll be able to discover the daily life of our hellicicultural farm in a joyful atmosphere.
Presentation of the visit :
Outdoor pens: Description of the pens, structures, seeds, food, number of snails per pen, growth process, etc.
Breeding room: Visit to the breeding room, description of the breeding room, explanation of the snail's reproductive cycle, method of recovering eggs, hatching, observation of snail eggs and spat (baby snails).
Introduction to snails: how to recognise the most common snails (burgundy, grey, large grey, Turkish, Achatine, etc.).
Explanation of the terms jeuné and dégorgé and what to do and what not to do.
Precautions to be taken when collecting wild mushrooms for private use.
Presentation of products from the farm: Presentation of the different recipes from our production and the different ways of eating snails. Throughout the visit, we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
