Découverte de l’huile d’olive en cuisine et cosmétique

Marseille

Visit the Savonnerie de la Licorne, with the craftsman, followed by lunch at the Gerarh restaurant with olive oil tasting. An experience based on an emblematic product of Provence.

opening dateAll year round, every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 10 am and 2 pm.

The visit: La Licorne's team of chemists will welcome you at 10 a.m. for an interactive tour of their premises, at the end of which you'll be able to stamp three soaps and take them home as a souvenir.
You'll discover how the famous Marseille soap is made, and how olive oil has been used since the end of the 17th century for its cosmetic and hygienic benefits.

Lunch: at midday, lunch can be taken on the terrace in the shade of linden
linden trees, or indoors, in a warm ambience where flea markets, exhibitions and music mingle.
You'll meet the chef for an immersion into the history of your meal, and the use of organic, fresh and local produce.
It's an opportunity to taste different flavors of oil and the dishes Gérard prepares with the products of the moment, seasoned with meticulously selected first cold-pressed olive oils. Atypical vinaigrettes, combinations of olive oil and garrigue herbs and more original flavors, such as olive oil/strawberry or olive oil/ginger.
If you wish, the chef, who is also a wine connoisseur, can suggest a wine and food pairing.

Approximately 4 hours all-inclusive, from visit to meal. The 2 establishments are located close to each other on Cours Julien in Marseille.

Reservations required.
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday only, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
