Maison Champy

BEAUNE

The oldest establishment in Burgundy

Maison Champy

Founded in 1720, Maison Champy is the oldest wine house in Burgundy. It is internationally renowned for the quality of its Grands Crus from the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, particularly its Corton-Charlemagne. Champy owns 21 hectares of vineyards on the Côte de Beaune, particularly around Pernand-Vergelesses, and a large proportion of its vines are farmed organically.

A place steeped in history

This place has a fascinating history behind it, from Gustave Eiffel who created a part of the building, to Louis Pasteur who carried out his work here which then led to his discovery of the pasteurisation process.
