Burgundy: from Beaune to Tournus 🍴🍷

The Vitteaut-Alberti estate was created in 1951 and has been in the same family for three generations. It is located in Rully, the birthplace of sparkling Bourgogne wine. Visitors are welcome to our dynamic and sparkling tasting cellar year-round, with group appointments for four and more people by appointment only. We have some 22 hectares under vine on some of the best Climats of the Côte Chalonnaise and the Côte de Beaune. Our aim is to do well and to offer a warm welcome.

Chalon-sur-Saône, birthplace of Nicéphore Niepce (inventor of photography), is the department's most important city. One of the city's landmarks is the Tour du Doyenné and its garden on Île Saint-Laurent. Comprising over 20,000 plants, its decor changes every summer. From the coulée verte to the prairie Saint-Nicolas, this natural setting allows nature-lovers to take full advantage of the riches of the Saône and its heritage. Other points of interest include the golf course with its rose garden and arboretum, the Georges Nouelle park with its geo-botanical garden, and the Bellevue park with its biodiversity trail.

Enjoy a memorable experience in the heart of the Côte de Beaune Grands Crus in the wonderful village of Puligny-Montrachet. The 17-room hotel is a haute-couture wine estate where you can taste and buy our wines in the Bistro or dine in the unique Klima gourmet restaurant, and enjoy technical tours of the vineyards and cellars.

In a historic building, the hotel was renovated at the beginning of 2019. It is located in the middle of Chalon sur Saone and has a restaurant.

The Estate du Château de Chamirey, located on some of the best terroir in Mercurey, comprises 27 hectares of red and 10 hectares of white, including 15 hectares of Premier Cru. Visitors are welcomed at the historic 18th-century winery for tastings, cellar visits, and walks in the wine. The boutique offers wines from all the estates belonging to the Devillard family, from the Côte de Nuits to the Mâconnais.

"Artisan Chef" is how Jean-Michel, a young starred chef, likes to introduce himself. With Pascal and Victor, pillars of the restaurant and who have the memory of the know-how passed on by Michel Carrette senior, they like to handle ideas and products; to assemble them and look for the clash of flavours; to finally combine them and create a work of art that is timeless, flavourful and unexpected. With these important words: the pleasure of sharing.

Picturesque lanes, colorful facades and flat roofs covered with round tiles are all elements that underline Tournus' Mediterranean character. Streets and monuments come alive all year round with markets, concerts and exhibitions. In addition to its international gastronomic reputation, Tournus has become Tournus has become a favorite stopover for pleasure boaters cruising along the Saône.

Leave the main roads and plunge into the Charolais region, the surroundings will amaze you. The Hotel de la Poste and its outbuilding, the Villa Kiwis, located on the riverside with a wonderful garden, offer sophisticated and fully equipped rooms and suites. The property invites you to taste the pleasure of its cuisine, full of flavour, colour and freshness, prepared by the Chef, Frédéric Doucet, still at the stove, who has been awarded one star in the Michelin guide since 2012.

Leave the main roads and plunge into the Charolais, the environment will amaze you. La Maison Doucet, situated on the riverside in a wonderful garden, offers elegant and fully equipped rooms and suites. This residence invites you to the pleasures of its dining. You will taste a new cuisine, full of flavour, colour and freshness, prepared by the chef Frédéric Doucet, one star in the Michelin guide, who is always in the kitchen.

The Vignerons des Terres Secrètes are the heirs of a cooperative movement organized in the Mâconnais. Our members have been winegrowing for generations, driven to reveal the sublime terroir through a range of great wines. The Vignerons des Terres Secrètes is the only cooperative winery located within the perimeter of the Solutré Pouilly Vergisson Grand Site de France, and has been awarded the Vignerons en Développement Durable label.

A not-to-be-missed viewpoint. On the Solutré Pouilly Vergisson Grand Site de France, the Roche de Solutré rises to 493 metres. A spectacular limestone escarpment in the middle of the Mâconnais vineyards. The rocks of Solutré-Pouilly, Vergisson and Mont Pouilly are among France's elite Grands Sites. Located in the far south of the Bourgogne Franche-Comté region, the Solutré Pouilly Vergisson Grand Site de France is a protected natural area and a renowned tourist attraction. It is also a favourite walking area for the people of Mâconnais. The Solutré Pouilly Vergisson Grand Site de France covers six communes:
Solutré-Pouilly, Vergisson, Davayé, Prissé, Fuissé and Charnay-lès-Mâcon.
The area's rich biological diversity, characterised by the presence of rare species and remarkable plant associations, is recognised at European level: the Roches de Solutré and Vergisson and Mont Pouilly are under Natura 2000 protection. Small horses - almost perfect look-alikes of their prehistoric ancestors - play an active role in preserving the biodiversity of the limestone grasslands. These hardy Konik Polski horses graze the meadows, helping to prevent them from becoming overgrown.
Starting from the Roche car park, the ascent of the Roche de Solutré is on foot. With no major difficulties and culminating at an altitude of 493 m, the 4 km circuit has an ascent of 100 m. A series of reading tables invite you to explore the many facets of the site.
A prehistory museum, an archaeological and botanical garden and the Maison du Grand Site complete the tour.
