Each tasting includes an activity: learn about praline inside a chocolatier's workshop, an introduction to fine chocolates, blind tasting of chocolate spread, taste chocolate cocktails and delicious chocolate waffles! Duration: 3 hours. One Saturday morning per month.
- Tour of Les Halles, to discover the indoor food market, Les Halles de Lyon – Paul Bocuse, Lyon’s temple of gastronomy. €52 per person, including 7 tastings (bite-sized quenelle dumplings, foie gras + smoked salmon, little delights of Lyon, Lyon deli meats + wine, local cheese, Italian specialities, Lebanese mezze and the unmissable praline brioche and tart). Our story began in the small village of Beaufort-sur-Gervanne, at the heart of the Vercors Regional Nature Park. Our organic, fair trade chocolate factory is at the end of a pretty little winding road that leads away from the village. Its name rings through the surrounding garrigue: the Frigoulette.
We manufacture and package our own superb range of chocolate in a cool, bioclimatic workshop, using 'Premier Grand Cru' cocoa from a fair trade plantation on the island of São Tomé and Príncipe in the Gulf of Guinea. The best cocoa beans in the world!
Since the very beginning, traceability and responsible practices have been paramount for us, and with my team we create 'real chocolate', chocolate with the organic, fair trade label, produced according to environmentally friendly practices and ensuring the producers from the island are given a decent wage (with my partner KAOKA). Frigoulette has been certified a Bio Partenaire®, and fair trade company by the Ecocert organisation.
The Frigoulette workshop doesn't use animal fats and only makes pure cocoa butter chocolate, without the use of palm oil and gluten-free.

Demonstration of how sweets and chocolates are made using natural ingredients. Sugary and chocolate-based creations of all kinds.
When visitors arrive on the premises, the confectioners/chocolate makers invite them to begin the tour. There are four parts to the tour:
- Explanation of the different natural ingredients used, through fun workshop activities.
- The museum of manufacturing sweets and lollipops the traditional way, and the various tools used in the past.
- A live demonstration from a qualified confectioner of making sweets and lollipops from baked sugar, in an amphitheatre with an opportunity to taste afterwards.
- Walkway overlooking the other workshops (manufacture of marshmallows, nougatine, chocolates, candied chestnuts, and, of course, the packaging room).
